Blast and Ballistic Testing Land Systems' Edgefield location focuses on research and development activities and support the verification and quality control validation of vehicles used to protect the troops against explosive threats.
The facility is designed to support the ongoing need to modernize, repair, service, supply, and conduct training for the fleet of vehicles deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan and throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. This facility greatly shortens response times for spare parts, fleet service, and will serve as a forward logistics station for staging and installation of upgrade kits such as the high-performance mobility independent suspension systems (ISS) for the Cougar MRAP.

General Dynamics Land Systems is headquartered in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Detroit area locations house engineering design and technology, customer service and support, systems integration laboratories, contracting activity, finance, business & marketing, supply chain management, information technology and staff support functions. The Sterling Logistics and Engineering Center provides training and logistics support to customers around the world.
Land Systems' Robotic Systems in Westminster, Maryland, develops and produces autonomous and semi-autonomous unmanned ground vehicle systems for applications such as security and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) defeat. Robotic Systems also produces products for other government customers and offers a full range of production services from machining through assembly.
